We have inequality in our blood. But, we expect others to treat us equally or better than them with respect. We always miss remembering to treat any other human with equal respect.
We want no reservation system to exist, but are we in a position to say we are ready to agree, all the reserved classes are as equal to us in all aspects and respect them as human or as an equal citizen?
We want criminals to be punished as per law, but do we have laws to punish the mind that shows inequality and the insults to others? The answer is No, we don't have any as such!
Equality has become a term of no sense creating more and more barriers for inequality and making the world even more a horrible place to live.
North Indians don't consider South Indians are equal Indians as they are and vice versa.
North East Indians are not Indians for the rest of India.
If you are an African, then you are a human of least value among all the categories that exist independent of what your qualification is and how intelligent you are!
If you are an American, you are always considered above anyone else, no matter how stupid your thoughts are!
These are all together a drop of water in the ocean of similar examples of what the present world is right now and how irresponsible are we as human towards fellow human beings.
We say we all want equal opportunity, but the reality is we want equal result else we start to blame someone or the other and never agree that we might have gone wrong somewhere!
We want the society around us to change, but we never change ourselves.
It is time we all need to have a reality check.
General thumb rule of the world, if you are educated then you have better living standards with wisdom.United states has 97% of literacy above 15 years of age which is about 330 million of which 250 million are graduates with a bachelors degree at least.India's literacy rate is 74% above 15 years of age of 1.4 billion which is about 1.03 billion of which 40% i.e, around 400 million are graduates with a bachelors degree at least.
Then technically we should be the nation much ahead of any other nation in the world, but still we call ourselves developing and consider someone else is better than us.
We always under-mean or under-rate ourselves and we under estimate all the other classes of the society except the one in which we are and still we call ourselves united for namesake!
We are diverse but never united, if otherwise then the world needs to learn from us!
Readers, please feel free to let me know your views on this topic so that at least we can build a better India moving forward.
